I never said anything about per capita. I think anyone that lives in ND, or even reads a newspaper, or has internet access, would be amazed at your statement that the ND state government being flush with cash has nothing to with oil ! Defense spendng , they get it. Native americans, yep. Also it is a older state, lots of people receiving medicade, medicare and social security. Not saying it is bad, it just is. Your also a little out of date on the CA economy as it is anouther boom state. Employment up, housing prices skyrocketing (at least near the coast, not so much in plaes like Fresno and Stockton). All the big industries , construction, computers, agriculture, tourism, entertainment, ect are doing great. So tax revenue is flowing in. So, although I appreciate your concern about my pension I think we have nothing to worry about, so you can rest easy. Big differences between CA and Detroit I would like to inform you of. CA is a state with a deverse and reseilant economy, and Detroit is a city dependent on 1 industry that mostly left, and unfortunately, those jobs are not comming back.
