Looked at my local weather on the internet just now, and it said temp was 48 F, "feels like" 50. Its sunny and dead calm outside.
So what's up with that? I'm familiar with "heat index", which is the opposite of wind chill, and is based on humidity rather than wind speed- but thought it only kicked in at temps far above 48. Found it on Wikipedia, and sure enough, heat index is only calculated when temp. is above 80, and humidity above 40.
Maybe is a "basking in the sun" index? Anybody know?
