Jayinny, I think the days of buying something that last 10 years is gone. We live in a throw away world. What I do is look at price and am happy if the cheapies last one year.
At the end of the winter last year I went to TSC and bought kamik boots with a removable liner for $30. I put the boots over a heater to dry at night. They lasted longer than I expected.
I can't remember the brand name boots (lamar??) I bought from Gander Mountain, $130 and they lasted 45 days before they chacked and leaked. I had a battle to get a refund, gander warrantey is for 30 days.
So I shop for boots that are on sale, even if I don't need them, I will later.
This year I found insulated OLD Mill's at Menards for $20. Bought 2 pair.
Yes they are made in china, like most of the boots.
