Most teenagers prefer activities with their own age group, not wanting to do much with the parents. Continue to be a good example of honesty, fairness and hard work. Try to keep communication going- find out what he is interested in and support him if possible. Athletics (as long as grades are good) are much to be preferred to excessive video game playing. He may never join you in the shop, but may excel in other areas and make you proud.
