From my experience it is an issue with the printer communication. (assuming it is a USB connection)First effort might be to remove the connector from the computer and reconnect it to a different USB port. If no Joy, I would look inside the operating system to set the printer port to - Virtual USB printer port - (assumes Windows operating system) But you have not given us much info in that area, we really need the name, like Windows XP Pro or what ever. If no joy I would reinstall the printer driver. Again we do not know if this just started, or if it has always done this. The Printer does not have a Tractor Feed so it can't be that. (the previous sentence is to keep this post tractor related) I must tell you that Lexmark printers are my last choice ever. None of the printers from Lexmark that I know of are still in use by me or anyone. They seem to be disposable, and fault prone. Jim
