My handle is a bit tongue-in-cheek.
Before the days when a threshing machine had a stack blower, it took a crew of men to pitch the straw away from the threshing machine. The guy in charge of the straw crew was the Straw Boss. He had big responsibility but no authority as he took orders from the Big Boss who was in charge of the whole outfit.
So, as I travel through life as a farmer, father, husband, son, and most of all a child of God, I find myself much like the Straw Boss. Never in charge but always responsible!

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
