going back to the place where I grew up in nj,I drove around the old neighborhood,Most of it is huge houses now sitting on an acre of land,The old farm that was next to ours is still there..,I took some pictures of it. third party image thats from the front of it,this is the back of it looking from my brothers farm third party image we used to cross through this farm to get to the road where some of our friends lived when we were growing up. Two old brothers lived there and farmed .They had some chickens ,raised some corn, and had a patch of strawberrys. To keep the story tractor related ,they had an old case, and a farmall b. The little story that came into my mind the other day when I was taking pictures,,,,,,The two old farmers sold a piece of their land, and a lady built a private swim club there, For sure we could not join, way to expensive, but evidently, the lady still owed The farmers some money. The old farmers were really nice to me and my brother, and great neighbors to my mom and dad. One hot day they told us,you go to the swim club, tell them Bill and John sent you,you were working for them picking strawberrys. It worked like a dream,we swam, and had a great time. It did become a problem when my brother told some friends the (secret code),,,I told a few friends the (secret code) and so on and so on,,,,,,,the last time we went swimming that summer she let us in,but grumbled,,,that must be a big strawberrypatch!!

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
