I followed your other posts, I seem to remember a lot of places in that situation, eventually being developed, as I recall from jobs I worked on all over NJ. One thing is for sure, you and your brother certainly meet the criteria, (Ha, ha, whatever that is, no rules apply here LOL) for having interest in old iron, I wish there were more of these places and less new houses, lot more fun to poke around, live or be a part of any of it, must be the kid in us, just bigger toys or hobbies !
What a great place, I know from the postage stamps I've lived in while I was working in that area, not everyone can have or afford any extra space, outbuildings or what would be potentially a nice shop, most have to migrate like you to a more remote area, I did it for years like you for the same darned purpose, could not have both, job, good salary and the place to go with it, even in the best of times LOL !
