Whichever "internet news" said that is probably as ill informed as you are. Would be interested in a link to this unimpeachable source of cutting edge sports news. Their motto is "Who says you can't make this stuff up."
Boxing you can fix, easily- just pay some poor Palooka to take a dive. He needs the bucks, and he's the only one who needs to know about it.
Baseball, too- easy to "barely" miss a catch, swing a little high or low, or "groove" a hanging slider so some guy hits it out. Tougher because you have to have several in on it, and you can get caught (Chicago Black Sox, 1919).
But football? Impossible. EVERYBODY on the team would have to be in on it and get a payoff, and that's just never going to happen. Some third stringer who isn't getting much out of the deal is going to blow the whistle and be a hero. The entire betting book on the game wouldn't produce enough money to pull it off. And to top it off, Manning would have to be in the middle of it, and he's just too smart to even entertain the idea. "Lets see. . . 5 mill if it works, or I go to prison and am disgraced for life if it doesn't. Hmmm. . . I've got lots more than 5 mill already, and I'm more inclined to go into the Hall of Fame than Leavenworth. Believe I'll pass."
No, Seattle was just playing the same game they had played all season, "guys flying all over the place", at about triple the intensity. They were so hyped by all the hoopla that I doubt anyone could have beat them that day.

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
