Have had both shoulders done. Worked in local dietary fiber plant 3 yrs, did a lot of lifting, I could throw a 50 sack 30ft (physically lifted 35,000 lbs a 12hr day). Finally tore the left shoulder.
Surgery on the left shoulder in 2007 by the locate expert Mpls,MN that was said to have written and taught the procedure to others. I was lifting hay bales the next week, but still took it easy most of the time. In therapy, they tried to over work the shoulder, had lots of pain, the doc chewed them out, said don't push so hard, they did take it gentle after that and it was still 9 months or more before every normal. Seems to have no loss of use. In 2012 had the right shoulder done by another Doc, I had very little pain afterward and therapist couldn't believe what I was able to do with out pain, (again could move hay bales by 3rd day) it seemed that I was 2-3 months ahead of most at healing (could reach for the ceiling almost full range), but seems the Doc trimmed things different inside the shoulder and I had aquired a click/pinch in the joint at which point it was painful to move past that spot. No matter what therapy was done, the click could not be removed. Now most pain gone but lost about 20% use in my right -mostly cus of the click/pinch. Took almost a year to seem normal, but still have some discomfort if I move wrong. Left side (1st surgery) still seems like new. At 62yrs I feel I'm doing well. Wish you well!
