Farmer,Guys I have had Both of my shoulders Replaced! not Fixed. My Dr the Preeminent Shoulder Dr in Austin, Tx. This is all he does Not Knees or other parts Only the shoulder. He Understood I Farm and Ranch, But with replacements, THERE Would Be somethings to Curtail others, Every once in a while, while some still I would Never do again. I would Never Drive a steel post or dig a post-hole with a manual post-hole digger, or use a Stud-bar to bust out rocks in the bottom of the hole. I wouldn't be able to throw a Baseball like before or swing a Bat, like before. I can throw to some degree with our son. Useing a hammer on an anvil doesn't seem to bother mine at all. My Dr said most folks want to Do what they were doing when they damaged the Shoulder, Be Smart about what you are doing, figure out a better way to accomplish what needs to be done. Lift the 50 lb sack of feed and place it on the tailgate of th3e pickup Don't throw it. Ultimately it took me over a yr for each shoulder to really begin to feel and act normal. It was over 2 yrs before I really pushed them. Why?.... I didn't want to have to do any re-dos!!! I will say I believe there are times I should go back and do some of my rehab exercises to keep my strength. Hope this helps. Later, John A.
