Well the storm blew over in the night. Looks like we ended up with between 10" and 12". It seems like we don't get near the snow or winters we used to have when I was a kid, and we feed cattle all winter. Back then, my Dad had a new 1967 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. He would chain it up and we would load 55 to 60 bales of alfalfa and go to about 3 or 4 different pastures and feed cattle every day, and sometimes twice a day. I can remember sure being proud when I was old enough to get in the back and cut the wires and throw the hay out while my Dad drove the pickup in low gear. Back then it seems like we had snow all winter, but probably wasn't the case. I know I would hate to try to doing anything anymore without a 4wd pickup and a FWA tractor. Guess I'm getting soft in my older age..lol! Pics of a couple of sad horses who couldn't seem to come in out of the rain...lol! Plenty of barn space, but they had to be right out in it until grain hits the feeders. Snow removal this am. Looks nice and peaceful in the pictures. 2 degrees F out with fair breeze says otherwise. Doesn't look like much snow in the pictures, but some of the drifts were 4' deep. Snow drifts pretty bad in my driveway as I have a windbreak on the north side. I am sure ready for spring. Bob

But no matter how good or bad auctions may be, we always seem to stay until the item we've come for or are interested in is on the block. I've been to some auctions near and far. I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
