Most diesels need to have a minimum of 250 PSI. They reccomend checking it hot. You must use a diesel compression tester as automotive type can't be held in by hand. Diesels are tested with six pumps on the gauge as compared to four on a gas burner. Pull all injectors and make sure you have a hot battery so as to maintain a fast cranking cycle. Hope this helps.
