Yeah, you can connect it to the intake. Just do it somewhere after the breather so it doesn't plug that up in the event it has a dry element. Beyond that... unless it's making a smog cloud you can't see through... what you have for blow-by is probably quite normal. If the engine starts good and has good power, otherwise sounds fine... I would not even give it a second thought. There's not a thing wrong. Those engines, by design, have a lot of blow-by.
