I've never tried the helmet mount but I've ran for miles on the trike with my Gopro clamped to it to the rack without it shaking loose.. I've even used a suction mount to hold it to the side of vehicles or machinery. Only time I had it come loose was on a cold day, inside the cab of the tractor. Maybe the cold glass caused the suction cup to lose it's seal.
