986 INTERNATIONAL & 45 John Deer Loads

I recently purchased a 76 model 986 IH tractor - that needs repainted.
The Side shields on some of these models are white and some are red?
What is the correct color for this year?? Also - I have a 45 John Deer Loader made for 2 cylinder tractors w/Narrow
front end with serial number of 0001. Any idea what it's worth?
