Fly bait works for coons.
A have-a-heart trap will also work for coon, just dont let them get trap shy. You also have to remember, most states its illegal to let the coon out alive after you have trapped it, you are not allowed to drive it somewhere else to let it free.
A bucket set will also work pretty good for coons.
Fox, well they are a little harder to get. Try a hay bale set in the middle of a field with fox scent. 2 bales of hay in the field with a trap on it. Apply scent. Fox walks along and smells another fox, cant resist jumping up to sniff and use the higher vantage point to look around. Snap.
You can also use the chicken and fence post. Nail a chicken to the top of a fence post. Fox walks along and tries to jump up and grab the chicken. Little does he know, you placed a few leg hold traps at the bottom of the post. As he jumps up and down, he covers the area quite well and catches himself.
You can sit out all night and try to shoot them but traps hunt 24/7. Get a good nights sleep and kill the critters in the morning....
