Larry: That tractor is imported from India. You can buy them new for right around that $17K figure for a 2wd. So that $12,500 used is not out of line much.
The true blue Deere guys are not a big fan of the India built tractors. They are lacking some features that are common on the other models.
The "D" series is the economy series for the weekend warrior people. For that type of use they work fine but in real heavy farm work they have durability issues.
The JD 5525 MFWD with a loader for $16K was a much better buy even if it had more hours.
