I can tell you, if it gets infected it will be excruciating, that infection gets out of hand, I don't believe, but I am no MD, is a good thing either, too close to ones brain is it ? Have to research it. Had a root canal go bad, eventually lost a back one, it got out of hand quick, I remember it well because my farmer friend came by to see if I could rake a whole bunch of hay, a job I loved doing, but the pain was enormous, once the pain meds kicked in, much better, sucked because I had to tell him no, as I came out with an ice pack on my face.
Dentist who removed said offending tooth, noticed it was completely out of character as the remaining ones were always well taken care of, gums in nice shape, all very healthy. That sucker hurt, glad he took me in right away that day, $300 cash money well spent. Cripes needles in the gums are nothing compared to this pain, had the same one used on the inside of the nose so the doc could cauterize some odd ball thing, that was not fun, tooth still takes the lead on pain, though, I'd deal with it with a DMD.
