In high school I worked for a great man who owned a general store in southern Ohio. He was a B-24 tail gunner in WWII-shot down. Toughest man I ever knew-not afraid of anyone or anything...except needles. Wouldn't go to the dentist because of the novacane shot. He had a bad tooth one day and the next it was gone. I asked him if he had pulled it. He said yep..He went out to his garage, put a vice grip on the tooth, a string on the vice grip with a window sash weight attached. He threw the weight over the joists in the garage and the weight jerked the tooth out. I asked, "Didn't that hurt. He said just a bit..especially the first time when the vice grip slipped off the tooth. He said, "When it slips off you just kinda dance around a bit on your tip toes and try not to wet yourself." It took him three tries to get the tooth out. He pulled several of his teeth that way.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
