Well, here goes. As far as I am concerned this is just a heart breaking topic... :) I saw it yesterday and decided to think it over all night, and come morning, I still ain't sure!!
I guess, if I had to break down and choose, it would be my 1949 Farmall C (first tractor I ever owned) or my John Deere 40T. Both are VERY reliable, and both will pull a 2-14 plow.
This is a good picture of me plowing, kickin a$$ as you can see..... :)
Also a picture of my Farmall C all restored. This was the the first event I took it to. I was 13 in that picture... I had bought it the fall before it ok shape. Engine was trashed, but we still made it run. The first time I drove it I was so excited that I didn't even realize what was happening... When I was done I got off the tractor and mom came out to see what I was up to and started screaming because my face was completely black with oil, and it was burnt too! :)
This certainly was a hard decision, and the more I think about it the more I think that my neighbors TO-30 Ferguson should be on here too... He was like the grandpa I never had. Shortly after he passed away, I went down to the house to start getting stuff with another tractor, and just for giggles I walked over to this TO-30 to see if it would start. I jumped on, gave it some choke and throttle, and hit the starter. It rolled over a few times and then fired and ran for about a second. I tried again and never did get it. When dad and I went to go get the tractor, he pointed out the the distributor wasn't on the tractor, and a rag was stuffed in the hole where it should have been! I am sure to this day that was Ralphs way of saying good by...
But anyway, here is a picture of my haying with it! Bryce

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
