Just cause it's on the internet doesn't make it real. I looked up hydrogen generators for my friend last year as he's computer ignorant. He was talking about the ones you can mount on an existing system that's supposed to reduce gas consumption. Never did find any real data but did find a lot of ads selling those systems. I was amazed with all the hype and the lack of any real scientific data.
Now to another question. With places/areas world wide suffering from water shortages how well do you think hydrogen power is going to be accepted when the choice is abundant food with irrigation or cheap fuel. Yes you do get some water out of the exhaust on a hydrogen engine as I understand it but not nearly the amount you break down because some of the oxygen and hydrogen are burned. Water, even though it covers a large part of the earth is a finite resource. We can, if we have to do without oil. We cannot survive without water.
