Yesterday we got my MIL hooked up to city water after all those years. She had pump trouble 3 times this winter. I had the plumbers check her pump pressure in the basement when the kitchen sink was running and she had 27 psi on the well circuit. With the city water she now has 70psi with 3 faucets running. We ran a 2" main 340 feet up to her house. She's happy now. She always kept a white barrel full of water during the winter months in the basement incase the old well pump pooped out. Best part of all this is, back in 1997 The father in law gave the water company an easement in his side of the road if he could tap on for $250. The mother in law kept that paper all these years and they honored the $250 tap on fee. Regular tap on fee is now $3500. It pays to keep records.
