: Here's what I'd do: If you can sand them back to brite and clean with 400 or 600 wet or dry sandpaper and WD40 , then they will be ok . wipe the rods with lite oil before drawing them into the cylinders . If they have pits that you can catch your fingernail on , they are no good and must be replaced Cyrus
