I sure think so! I wanted to use my McCormick Deering No. 5 rake, it is the same size, but when I look at the side by side in the meadow, I think that the McDeering raises/lowers better, and has a little better setup for the tail wheels. HOWEVER, on the negative side, it has four rotted off tires and this rake has steel wheels! Being that I am 15 and broke, I went with the JD!! :)
I am VERY excited to get to have my own little miniature farm this year. Around the house I will have about 1/2 acre of wheat, and then I have two more meadows that I am going to take the hay off of for bedding for the chickens. (1 1/2 and 1/2 acre) All in all, provided I don't $%^& something up, it is going to be a GREAT year! Bryce

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
