Driving an old International pickup, rear u-joint was getting bad, but turned a corner 13 miles from home, and the drive shaft dropped down. Caps and needle bearings really chewed up. I found two cut off pieces of galvanized pipe, that would just slide over the cross piece of the U-joint, lubed them, clamped them to the flange, made it home just fine, but at 30mph.
