PTO is not being used, it has to be engaged to work so I am guessing this is not a live? we have not used our brush cutter in a while now..I would bet it is the thick oil issue, and you are saying transmission oil? how often would you say it should be changed. you are right on the brakes they are crap but work ok if you stand on them..haha
