I have a woods 1855 serial number 286868 mower that I just bought. The right wheel will hardly pull at all in either direction. Left side pulls just fine. There is what I think would be called a hydro pump inside each wheel, with a common small reservoir that has two lines feeding to each pump.
I've checked the linkage between steer handles and the hydro and there seems to be no problem.
Any ideas what could be wrong. (PS. there is a note painted on the frame inside the left wheel that says the hydro was replaced on Jul 1 2004.....but only 115 hours ago. Could it be a bad hydro unit or might it be something less complicated and expensive?
