At shows, I am ALWAY drawn to anything rusty or in its faded "work clothes" before I am to the perfectly painted machines.
Husband uses muriatic acid to rust-up any bolts, hairpins, etc. that he has had to replace on our old, rusty Farmall Regular. Would probably work on your new wheels too (if you want 'em rusty).
