: I own a 1430 cub cadet lawn tractor. When it is run for approx. 30 min, it quits. : it has gas, but no spark. When I leave it set a while, it will start. Could it be a bad ignition?? : Any help would be appreciated. It is approx. 5 years old. I don't really know the machine, but as nobody else has replied I will try. A machine of that age has probably got solid state ignition. One replaceable unit more than likely. Check the stop circuit, disconnect it temporarily to prove it is not the culprit. If you disconnect it close to the coil then you will also rule out any failsafe devices. Change the plug. It is not unknown for a plug to break down at high temperature. If by some chance it has points and a condensor, suspect the condensor. Good Luck Glenn
