Thats the thing, any machine you ever ask about, there will always be "oh they are great" and "oh they are a pos" When I was asking everyone I know, ALMOST everyone said that theses John Deere No. 5's were one of the best sickle mower ever made....
I have never used one, or even seen one work in person, but judging by the videos on You Tube that I have seen, they appear to work very well!
I would be more than happy to take a few pictures of how I hooked it up if you would like, pretty simply actually! I'm not sure how you would do it if you didn't have the fast hitch, because the FH drawbar is what I actually bolted to the mower...
You can see on the back of the tractor the bright red FH parts, I stuck em on, and shot em on the tractor! NOT something I usually do! I ended up just having them rebuilt because there was sooooo much wear in them... Bryce
