Dairy farmer friend experimented with different types of music in the milk house, found that it didn't make too much difference, as long as it was music. Cows didn't like talk radio, and they weren't thrilled when he was listening to the local basketball and football games. He left radio on 24/7, and at least one played for 10 years straight before giving up the ghost.
