Neighbor needed a ballast weight for his massey. When he lifts 800-1100# bales his rear wheels gets a little light and his front wheels sink in the mud.
I estimate the 55 gallons of concrete is around 1100#. If the barrel falls off the pipe, I'll lay it down and make better straps. Neighbor know he gets a satisfaction guarantee. I did this job for nothing, so he doesn't get a money back guarantee.
If I had cows, which I don't, I bet I could make a hay spear, move the hay about 19 inches closer to my front wheels and this 20 hp sub-compact terramite T5C could do the job. My rear ballast is only 450#. Think I would increase the size of ballast a little so I wouldn't have to extend it all the way back. Didn't have to run the engine more than a fast idle.
