The old crawlers can be a real workout to operate as to the steering and brakes. You said old, so if you need a small, light machine, a PTO and three point hitch may be a problem. If you have a smaller area, and a self powered pull behind mower, then just about anything you like would work.
As others have said, crawlers require some care to keep operating well, and a little knowledge of how to operate them, especially down hill with some weight behind them.
Keep the tracks taken care of. They are heavy and awkward to handle, especially if you throw one in the field.
