Then you would be dead. I see these old cars at the cars shows that we thought were so cool back then, and I'm astounded how badly they are really made. At the time it was the best they could do and still sell them for an affordable price. Modern cars are truly an engineering marvel and vastly safer then those old cars.
I agree that marble and granite seem to be extravegances, but these are long lasting and relatively mainenance free and are more cost effective over the long run. Do you want concrete, Soviet-era looking buildings? Russia is full of such and are falling down. The building my company built in the mid seventies used marble wall treatments and granite floors in the public areas and limestone siding. It still looks like new with no discernable wear, even with 10,000 people a day tramping through it. Money well spent, assuming they maintain the rest of the structure.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
