You can wear a respirator and paint in the wind if you want. { I extremley didn't just recommend this]. You just can't breath any of the fumes. Isocyanates are made from cyanide. Very poison stuff. If it doesn't kill you it can also affect the bones and put you in a wheel chair. It can also kill you at a later date. Read what is called MSDS sheets for any paint you use. Read the application manual for the paint ;if you leave hardener in the gun beyond set-up time you will have no spraygun that works.Homemade air supply to regular respirators will also cause "bad air" to be pumped into a mask as the compressor is not designed for that. The lacquer days are over and the paint is toxic but very high quality.Notice how many guys are telling you this because they care.
