Really neat stormy skies, strong winds, hail, rain on the way west.
Good thing my friend was driving yesterday as I like to gaulk (sp). Lots to look at; barns, silos; many of both had the beautiful caramel colored tile. Old farm houses, some large and beautiful church belfries with steeples. Old iron; tractors and implements sadly neglected; same for a lot of the buildings. We traveled in the Rochester area and back with a stop in Wabesha for late dinner. The old 'Cafe' sign is really weathered and it is closed 'For Lease'. We ate at the bowling alley and much to my surprise the burgers were very good. Don't folks call a scrapper (I'm glad they don't, yet surprised). I don't like to think about it, but with such high heating bills this winter past, lots of iron may see the melting plot. You best pack lots of batteries for your camera and fast. I'm 'tinkin', but probably shouldn't be, about a combine rescue mission from the 'Gopher State' to the great Badger State. Friends mind concerns a not-needed AC baler. We really should go for rehab.
