After you pay the revised bill, give it a week or so, and call them again. Ask if your account is current and paid.
Had that issue before, person on the phone fixed it,
but the billing computer still had a glitch and I got a late fee, and a shutoff notice because of the 'partial' payment.
People on the phone are usually pretty smart, however billing computers are dumb....and very persistent.
