My loquat tree is heavily laden so much so that the branches are dragging the ground. I've already sampled a few, but most of the fruit is not quite rip enough yet, but getting there. I don't do anything to this tree. It's self sustaining and on it's own.
My anaqua tree is flowering like crazy. It's little flowers fill the yard with a sweet pungent fragrance beyond belief. Smells a lot like orange blossoms. Those flowers will turn into small red-orange berrys later on. Sweet and very edible. A good food source for the sparrows, mocking birds, and Cardinals that hang out around. Only problem is you get more seed than meat from the berry. I bet they would make a good jam or jelly, or maybe evan a nice sweet wine. Never heard of anyone doing it though. The yellow on top is a honeysuckle vine I think. The tree was already there when my Dad built the house back in 1945. Tree wasn't quite that big at the time though. You could say I grew up with it, and now we are both old. lol
