I ran out of heating oil due to a faulty fuel guage.We had 4 cast iron radiators break.There may be a few guys on this board with hot water heating experience.I need to know if I can replace cast radiators with another style.We tried new baseboard radiators but they don't seem to put out heat at the temperature used by cast radiators.With cast radiators the boiler should run about 160 degrees.I am told newer radiators need 190 but fuel consumption goes way up.I am thinking about the style that were used in offices and such that went from floor to window sills and were used in the 60's alot.If anybody has any ideas about what would work in place of cast radiators I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.
