Got ahold of another piece of ground this year! Its steep and i mean steep! Its just weeds now a guy couple years ago no tilled corn in it and ended up hand picked the some of the corn and left the rest! He had a 6600 side hill 2wd but the land owner said he wouldnt put it on it! I plowed it yesterday laid out 60 ft wide strips with 15 ft grass strips inbetween! Seems to be really good ground! About 50 acers! My buddy has a jd 6620 side hill 4 wd he says he can go were ever i take my tractor! Im either gonna plant soybeans or corn! And hopefully seed it to hay in a couple years! Im not worried about planting it its getting it harvested if i plant corn i could use my corn picker but its gonna shell bad on that slope! New idea 325! If i plant beans im gonna half to put a combine on it! Can a self propelled handle it? As long as its a side hill machine? Dont want to get anybody in trouble! Or could i get a pull type combine and do it with that? Messed around with a couple all crop 66s! Awhile back but never had them on real steep ground! Maybe i shoulda thought about this before i got plow happy! I plowed it running one duel and lots of weights!
