I stacked a lot of hay behind a 12 as a kid. The bales were always well shaped and tight. It gave us a problem once when it jumped time. The farmer that I worked for told me to fix it, (I was 15 at the time), and he and his sons left to go milk. The thing was that it wasn't hard because the instructions were permanently silk screened to the underside of the hood. I use a MF 224 now and it will take the hay in better than the JD that I used to use. It will take in some huge slugs of hay that are bigger than the opening in the front.
