Depending on which Nebraska test you use, the gasoline M is either about 1.5 hp better or worse than the diesel M. Probably doesn't matter much. I don't have the test data on the Oliver, but I believe the 77 was referred to as the Bull Oliver. I would have expected it to outpull the M based on Oliver literature. The M is nice example of good old iron.
