I realize the problem of re seeding alfalfa in the same area, however, I still have to get a quote together to get compensation from the company that caused the damage, they do not understand Alfalfa at all, They also do not understand that in this case, since the field is only 1 year old, I am actually looking at crop loss for 3 or 4 years, as I can't really re-seed it, Also, if the ruts were not over a foot deep, I would simply run the drags over the spots, but they really made a mess and to avoid it I will likely have to not mow the entire side of the field, which is about 1 1/2 acres total, not huge, but still a loss they need to pay for.
