When I was younger we did all our farm cats(not much money around). No anesthesia, very little bleeding, slow cat for a day or two never lost one. Cats are very sensitive to most anesthetics. Normally very low doses are used. I could see where a vet would lose one now and then. ps our cats go to the vet now. My hands shake too much now.
