Yeah, I figure it"ll probably knock a day or two off the course of my existence....LOL. Seriously, it was one of the nastiest places I have ever worked. I was gone from there for several weeks before I realized how much my sense of smell had died from all the fumes. Between the smell of the acid used to clean the metal, the molten zinc, and the solution used to cool things down, not to mention the yellow dust in the air and all over EVERYTHING, etc, etc, etc, I know I had to take in at least a little bit of something that wasn"t good for me. At the time though it kept the bills paid, and it was a great learning experience. Given the age of the place, and the breakdowns we experienced, especially the electrical problems, it was truly a "School of Hard Knocks". While not the best place I"ve ever worked, it definitely taught, or helped me refine, many of the skills I needed to get me to where I am today. If that costs me a couple of days, so be it, because it sure has made the days I do have left a lot easier.
