Farmerwithmut, when the tractor pulling the planter loses it's GPS the driver is screwed until he can figure out his problem. It's not uncommon. Some of the farmers around here still use the markers along with the GPS just in case but the markers on a 60 foot or 90 foot wide planter seem to be troublesome. They're just too long to stand up to the pull on them. Last year I was planting beans into heavy cornstalks and I couldn't see the mark to save my life. GPS would have been a godsend in that situation. Jim
