You were asking about GPS. not needed. you simply drine across the field in the general direction of water flow.Either go back and forth(like disking...),or in 'lands' to make turning a bit easier.Our fields range from flat to some grade.The 'leveling' action is "automatic".In fact,the machine even has the word"automatic" in it's name! The Eversman 'Automatic' Land leveler.It has a depth 'gauge' of sorts.You just set it in your desired position.You can also lift or lower the blade at will(via hydralics) to cut/fill problem areas.'Landplanes/levelers have been around since irrigation...Starting with a horse drawn wooden 'float'/drag,to the new modern laser/GPS outfits.Most guys still use the type that I am useing.With the leveler,you go slow-4 mph +/-.You go faster,the outfit will bounce and not do it's job.Running slower also gives the machine more time to 'work'.I run in 3rd gear just under pto speed.Most of the time it does not require excessive horsepower(the '7' is around 90 hp),there times when it can stall 150 horses,too.Hope this helps.These are all the pics I have.Steve
