Ya know, unless a person was actually there to investigate what was going on, I don't know how you can judge. Thank the lord that our system will let an actual judge or jurry make the call after reviewing all of the facts, information, and testimony. You are not going to have enough info by reading a few lines in the newspaper or seeing a little clip on the evening news. I agree with ya, $50K to rescue the dogs is way to much. But again don't know the exact detailes on that either. Was that for this isolated incident?? If this guy was not at fault, than this guy should walk. I don't beleive in animal cruelty, or being mean to them. These people just should not have animals and pay the price. Any livestock owner is going to have bad things happen. For example, animals get sick and die just like people do. Secondly, animals don't live as nice of life as what people do. Well except for some of your dog and cat owners. Some of them treat there pets better than people. That's fine if they want to do that, just don't expect everyone else to. The people that I don't like are the cell phone do gooders. These are the people that will drive by an accident, keep on going, and dial 911 for the cops and ambulance out, but won't even stop to help. These people should keep to their own business. They don't even realize they are not helping at all. Now days, the people involved and the guy that actually stops to help all have their own phones and can call for appropriate help. So basicly, if your not going to help, just act like ya didn't even see anything. This world would be alot better place if everyone was willing to help others, and not just be all about themselves and how they think everyone else should be like them.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
