I know a guy that has one. Of course he swears by it but he doesn't do much more than run a brush hog with it. He's had it about 10 years. Mechanically it's mostly a copy of an old IH.
Several guys on another forum have them, or have had them. Most seemed to be happy with their tractors. They were much cheaper than JD, NH, etc. The guys that had them were price shoppers.
Mahindra doesn't have the dealer network that other brands have so service can be an issue. I remember one person saying that his dealer closed and he had issues finding parts.
I don't know what they offer now, but a few years back their smaller tractors were mostly copies of older tractors. I don't have a problem with 50 or 60 year old tractor technology, but I'd be very surprised if Mahindra's quality is anywhere near that of the vintage iron they copied.
Mahindra also had plans to build small diesel pick up trucks to sell in the US. The pictures I saw reminded me of the small Datsun trucks from the 70's....only uglier. They had trouble complying to US safety and emission standards. There were reports that the truck prototypes had major quality problems. They also had problems trying to build a dealer network. That was probably 5 or so years ago. Last I read about it they were scrapping the whole plan.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
